As the developers are clearly leaning towards a more flexible style of MMORPG it is suffice to say that the choices are numerous. Housing is done well, though I do wish they'd figured out a way to have world housing instead of instanced. The ability to set up resource nodes Farms, Mines, etc was pretty unique and useful. Having some housing items provided a rested exp buff was a nice touch as it makes gaining housing items a worthwhile pursuit. Crafting is well done. I selected Weaponsmith for my character and found that the items I could make were typically better than those received from questing or world drops.
The system is robust and allows you to select the stats you want on the particular item you're making. There is a level of "quality" for certain items that go into the recipe that can affect your result, though not to the level that Star Wars Galaxies did it. There are also crafting Talents which you can select to customize your crafting, making you better at a particular wing of your selected profession.
Thus, not all Weaponsmiths, Armorers, Technologies and so on will be the same. Dungeons and Adventures are actually difficult. Be warned, though. They are unforgiving. The very first dungeon I did, at around level 20, we gave up on after wiping five times on the second boss.
Dungeons and I assume raiding are not casual friendly. This could easily be filed under The Bad but, personally, I am glad to see a game that is not afraid to make things difficult. I like the "Challenges" system. They're like timed mini quests that appear automatically when you explore the world.
Finally, I'd say one of the aspects of the game I like best is that it doesn't take itself to seriously. There's humor to be found around the world, to the point that at times I was reminded of playing Borderlands in some parts though not as M rated. PVP with the twitch based combat is There are some negative aspects I'll cover in The Bad, but all-in-all I've had a good time with it. Paths are cool, though I have to admit I could kind of take-or-leave them.
I am not huge on lore and typically can't be bothered to read through quest dialog. Nearly all of the time I've spent leveling has been the typical "run to quest hub, grab all quests, complete them, run to the next, etc. While I consider dungeons being difficult to be a good thing, the rewards should match the challenge. I heard a rumor that they intended to improve dungeon rewards, so you might check to see if that has been done before judging the game based on this.
However, in the ones that I've run the loot has been mediocre and the experience gain abysmal. The game lacks explanation of a lot of things. I don't know if this was done on purpose, trying to get the player more involved in figuring things out, but ultimately it created a lot of confusion.
For instance, Amps think Talent Tree in most games are not explained. I ended up wasting half a day back-tracking and trying to find the ones I'd missed. On that vein, while PVP is fun, the goals aren't clarified very well. It took me a while to figure out what was going on, and then in subsequent games it was extremely aggravating having most of my team going to the wrong places at the wrong times because they also had no clue.
The game doesn't allow abilities to be used in macros. I understand their reasoning in not allowing it. The problem is, because combat is more twitch-based than what is usually seen in MMOs, the player is constantly moving around, requiring having your hands on WASD nearly the entire time.

Be it the cinematics or the world of Nexus itself, the visuals of WildStar are truly marvelous, especially given the fact that they were created using a relatively small team. This is all taken to the next level when you realize that Jeff Kurtenacker, who scored parts of World of Warcraft, composed the soundtrack to this game.
Its unique approach to combat and movement and great visuals put it in a league of its own compared to its peers.
